Welcome to Florida Blue! And thank you for choosing us for your health insurance needs. We appreciate the trust you’ve placed in us and are committed to providing personal support to all of our members. We want to share some information with you that may help to answer your immediate questions as a new member. You can also always call us, but with so many people enrolling in the new health plans, you may occasionally experience a longer than usual hold time.

Making your initial payment

If you didn’t make a payment when you applied for coverage, you’ll need to pay your initial premium payment by the last day of the month. However, you should wait to pay until you receive a reminder letter in the mail, since it has your unique member number/billing ID that you’ll need to be able to make the payment.

You have several easy ways to make your first month’s premium.

1. Pay by phone 24/7 by calling 1-855-805-8175, option 1

  • Follow the prompts and select the option ‘Make a Payment’.
  • You can always choose to talk with a service expert. We’re here to help you Monday-Thursday 8:00 am – 9:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am – 9:00 pm.
  • You can pay over the phone with a credit card, a debit card or by electronic funds transfer (EFT). You will need to have handy:
    • Your unique case number/billing ID
    • Social Security Number
    • Birthdate
    • Bank or credit card information

2.  Make your payment online 24/7

You can quickly create a log in and pay your initial bill. You will need to have handy:

  • Your unique case number/billing ID
  • Social Security Number
  • Birthdate
  • Bank or credit card information

3. Pay by mail

You can pay with a money order, cashier check or a personal check. On your check you’ll need to include your unique case number/billing ID, your date of birth and your name, if your name is different from the name on the check. Mail your check to P.O. Box 45074, Jacksonville, FL 32232.

Payment Confirmation

Please allow 6-9 days to receive a payment confirmation for payments made by check and 4-7 days for payments made by electronic funds transfer. If it has been longer than this, please contact us at 1-855-805-8175 so we can research this for you.

ID Cards
Once we receive your application and initial premium payment, we will prepare your ID card and coverage documents.

  • If you have a January 1st effective date for when your health plan is to start, your ID card will be mailed to you late in December, closer to when you will be able to start using your health plan.
  • If you buy a plan with an effective date after January 1st, your ID card and coverage documents will be mailed to you about 10 days after you enroll in the health plan.
